In 1985, FIBO was founded by Volker Ebener and Kurt Thelen to fill the need for an event dedicated to FItness and BOdybuilding. Since then, the health and fitness industry has rapidly evolved with the FIBO brand at the forefront—fueling and shaping the industry. Now, more than 30 years later, FIBO is stronger than ever representing all sectors of health and wellness industry worldwide.
FIBO launches in Cologne, Germany welcoming 69 exhibitors and 10,000 attendees. Today, FIBO Germany now occupies 10 halls featuring 1,500 exhibitors and over 145,000 trade and consumer attendees.
FIBO launches in Shanghai, China with 150 companies and 3,500 attendees. FIBO China now represents over 450 exhibitors companies and over 30,000 attendees annually.
FIBO South Africa opened its doors as an educational summit with a handful of small pop up stands, but quickly gained traction and evolved into a trade show + fitness festival the following year.
HEAT MX is a “ONE STOP SHOP” dedicated to sports enthusiasts, fitness and wellness. Focused on brand experiences, creating a community, pushing the sports culture in the country and offering the best products and services.
In 2018, FIBO came to the United States offering a trade show, conference, and immersive expo all in one for industry professionals and fitness fanatics alike. FIBO USA will make its home in Miami Beach in 2019.
FIBO is dominating the fitness industry globally, executing in over five countries and expecting to exceed 200,000 attendees in 2019.
